precious

Hi everyone!

Something happened last night and I thought it was sooo adorable I had to post about it. We had to go out to the mall for a few things and on the way home Riley was fussy and upset. It seemed we could do nothing to quiet him until Karyss and Dan started to sing to him. It was sooo sweet. It took a few seconds but he quieted down and as long as they were singing quietly to him he calmed down. It was just sooo sweet to hear them singing together and then how Riley responded was just as precious. It just gave me a little "Poptart burst " in my heart and I had to share it with you!

Also, several of my friends who blog are having a "roll call" thing. If you read my blog, please comment and let me know you were here... I'd love it if you'd share either a favorite memory of your children and/or husband or a favorite memory of your own childhood. Thanks so much and look forward to hearing from you!!

Hey Jenn- that was sweet about the singing to Riley!

A favorite memory I have of my boys is a "you had to be there" moment but I will tell anyway!!!

We were at the grocery store and Wes was standing at the end of the cart holding on and little Wil (about 16 mo??) was sitting in the cart seat. Wil pipes up in this little tiny voice and says, "Wes, hold on tight."

It was the first sentence he ever spoke.

Hey Jenn,
Just checkin in.....favourite childhood memory? Well, how about camping at Grand Lake, sleeping in the purple camper/van that your parents had, and that "awful" Derek dumping me off the raft in the deep end (read 3 feet) of the lake. How's that for a stroll down memory lane? ;-)

One time Kash and I were walking home from the grocery store with quite a few bags in toe. She was in the stroller holding onto one bag and there were many others hanging off the the handles of the stroller. Way back then I didn't drive...

We were having a difficult time and I mentioned to Kash that 'the Lord knew all about the trouble we're having so let's just sing and it will keep our minds off our troubles'...

After a few songs and chorus', Kash belted out one of her favorites...

"Burdens are lifted at Calgary, Calgary, Calgary..."
